Greenhill Farm of Stuart & Lola Crawford is situated in the picturesque Lidgetton Valley in the midlands of KwaZulu Natal. As the logo suggests the farm activities include breeding of race horses and growing of the national flower Protea cynaroides ? the King Protea.

The breeding operation currently consists of 22 mares run on dry land mixed paspalum pasture in summer and fogaged kikuyu in the winter. Abundant crystal clear water is obtained from 3 springs rising on the property. The long term annual rainfall is over 1050 mm. Nutrient rich soils are high in both organic carbon and clay and yet suitably drained, ideal for both protea and pasture production. The north easterly aspect of the farm allows for cool winters and warm summers.
