A hat-trick of wins for Sherman Brown and the yard of Paul Foo Kune Stable, as this partnership scored in the feature race of the day and last classic of the season - The AfrAsia Duke Of York Cup - won brilliantly by Love Struck.

Breaking from an outsider barrier, Love Struck followed in sixth position, before improving around the final bend.

This Budheswar Gujadhur-trained gelding showed great speed in the home straight to win this fabled race, ahead of Liquid Motion (C.Segeon), who came second for the second straight year. Desert Sheik (R.Burke) was a solid third, ahead of Man To Man (R.Joorawon).

The Summerhill-bred son of Kahal out of Rambo Dancer mare Particular Passion, Love Struck debuted in Mauritius in April this year, running third off Bulsara in the Gr2 Duchess Of York Cup. This is his first win in Mauritius, having nine starts on the island and placing five times, including a neck off another Summerhill-bred Ice Axe in an A division race and placing last time out in the Gr1 Maiden Cup.

Owned by Alesh Naidoo in South Africa, Love Struck previously won the Gr1 SA Classic from Tellina, having won a total of five times in South Africa and placing four times - including the Gr1 Premier's Champion Stakes.

Recently deceased Kahal, who stood at Bush Hill Stud, is currently leading the National Sires Log by Stakes Earned according to the NHRA statistics, as of 23 October.

Well done to the winning connections of KZN-bred Love Struck.
