Rambo's Love Foals Just As Well Filly

Roski Stud's top mare Rambo's Love has foaled a beautiful Just As Well filly at Drakenstein Stud.

The dam of South African Gr2 placed and Dubai winner Journeyman (by Trippi) hasn't had the easiest pregnancy, having contracted the potentially fatal Colonitis earlier this year which also brought on a bout of Laminitis.

After being nursed carefully back to health by Juli Santini the mare then suffered from Travel Sickness after the lengthy trip to the Cape, where she foaled down the big healthy filly. Roski Stud have made the decision in the best interests of the mare to leave Rambo's Love in the Cape as she is prone to Travel Sickness. She will board at Winterbach Stud.

Rambo's Love is scheduled to visit Trippi again this season after the success of Journeyman, and has a Var yearling at home. Her 2011 Western Winter colt named Chilli Affair sold for R1,2million at the TBA Ready To Run Sale, and she has produced four winners from six runners to date, however all have been in the money.

A very pretty bay daughter of Rambo Dancer out of Love's Desire by Braashee, Rambo's Love won twice, including the Gr3 Debutante. She is a full sister to Dance All Day, and her dam has already nicked to Trippi when producing five-time winning Diva's Daughter.

Roski Stud have acquired a top quality broodmare band over recent years, standing the likes of Go Indigo (to be covered by Captain Al this season), Young Caesour, Princess Julietta, as well as Kahal's Stakes Winning daughters Silent Call and Pisces Star.

From a small first crop to race of just seven horses, Just As Well (A.P. Indy - No Matter What by Nureyev) finished in fourth position on the Freshman Sires List for last season, with Just As I Said leading the way after placing in the Listed Storm Bird Stakes.

Just As Well, a globetrotting Group Winner on dirt and turf over 1000m - 2000m was sourced by bloodstock agent Alistair Brown, who has been instrumental in the securing and importation of great stallions Fort Wood, Al Mufti, Qui Danzig and Goldkeeper. Just As Well has been Equinome Speed Gene tested as a C:T, meaning he will likely produce Sprinter-Milers.

Bruce Le Roux has a filly in particular that is highly thought of, who has won and placed from just two starts - named Well In Flight and trained by Dennis Drier. From those seven runners, five have won (two within their first two starts) and they have accumulated 15 places collectively.

With Just As Well's colts averaging R120 000 at the sales for 2013, he stands at Spring Valley Stud for a fee of R10 000 this season.
